i was just bored and decided to type up a multi tutorial for those who struggle in that area
Basic Definition Of A multi- basically what a multi is in MY book is this. A multi is when you have a bar in your verse that has everything rhyming. The multis can sometimes when battles for you..if your punches, flow, etc are in shape.
Ex.-'you couldn't sweet talk peet rock into a beet box'
hanging from treetops like ewoks landing cheapspots on ya weakspots'.
Notice how almost EVERY thing in that One bar was rhyming with the precious fragment. That really determines a veteran from an upcoming emcee.
Some rules of thumb when typing your verse:
When i am keying a verse, i like to use the 'old school style' of rhyming.
what i do is when i think of a punch, i use the basic lettering style of multis.
As follows:
(A) spazing with (B) Taz in the (C) Back of my (D)Lac...just making a point
Then on the next bar i try and go along with the A, B, C, and D.
This really helps some with your technique of multi, along with your ability to prove them. One of the best ways of improving your skill of multis is Cyphering. Go to cypher hill and do any cypher that is there. Try and make yourself do it in a certain amount of time.
