What do u all think about the combination of music such as Lil Jon mixing his song with Ozzy Osbournes Cray Train and another song where he mixed a song with the intro to Slayer's Mandatory Suicide?

my band 'one time killer' is rap/rock. we play hardcore riffs to me and the frontman rapping. (i play bass too) i think that the mixture of different genres is yet to be accomplished and thats really what we're tryin to do. i'll put some tracks on here when we get our demo done.

Well...with rappers like jay-z and the 80's genre of rap it wouldn't work. Laid back mc's really can't accomplish the content they need through a metal tempo. Linkin park is just rock/rap...metal/rap is something that most wont do, and it's to be expected considering what most hip-hop fans are used to listening to.

alot of thats true, thats why there arent many of these collabs. I still say nothing beats the collabs of Run DMC/Aerosmith and Chuck D/Anthrax. Jay-Z/Linkin was straight trash (then again I do hate both of em). besides nowadays there arent really enough talented rock groups or emcees worth collabin with; most are cookie-cutter artists ~1~
