good topic..lets see here heres my top 5 you cant even debate this..

5.Eminem - People dont give him alot of credit, i dont like his recent stuff but theres no dobuting his battle freestyles getting into the finals at the rap olympics time after time..gotta give it to the detroit native.

4. B.I.G - people dont tihnk of biggie as a big freestyle cat but he murdered cats in NY-Bedstuy on corners one of the dopest battle cats ever.again not feeling his albums but when it comes to battles BIG is dope.

3. Craig G - Just check out the Supernat VS Craig G battle..G had some of the dopest lines ever and took out the champ of NYC..

2. Juice - Juice is one of the dopest MC's of all time. People use to critize him for writting his battle raps.they sounded so good but Juice never wrote shit-he was ill off the head went undefeated till he lost to Supernat..Juice has a couple albums his newest i aint feeling to much started to get that commercial feel.

1. Supernatural - No debating this.supernat is NYC champion battle rapper only lose came to Craig G at Lyrist Lounge convention. that was a close call anyways. Supernatural had a record deal which fell thru and he does not have much recorded tracks.a freestyle feind who reads the dictionary.has for 15 years!.gotta give number 1 to supernat.dope

There you have it..you cant even debate this list..its perfect.if i see anyone put some crappy ass rappers like, 50 cent , Jay-Z ima flip thats crazy..even putting Nas aint good they arent battle rappers..peace

5. B.I.G. ( Once again proving he is better than Tupac. He had freestyle/battling ability. )

4. Eminem ( I placed him higher just because of the noise he made on the underground before the fame, and etc. B.I.G. wasn't as revered.

2. Jin and Juice ( LOL, No pun intended. ) These guys are both equal in my eyes. If you;'ve heard any of Jin's latest battles, you know that he has gotten way better. And Juice. Well, no need to explain.

1. Supernatural. ( NO explanation needed . Undisputed bitches. )

-Common keeps it real. Thats why he earned 5 on my list. Common is Chicago by heart, and when he is battling, not only can he generate some clever punchlines, but you just can't help but be hyped up. Audience participation I believe kept him up there.

4. Benefit
-Also great with words and charasmatic, Benefit will create a hilarious scenario that leaves an opponent responsless.

3. Eyedea
-Im happy to see eyedea got props before hand. He's clever, charismatic, and quick. He avoids spitting about how great he is, and spitting about shooting his opponent, and he is great at breaking down his opponent based on appearance, actions, words, etc.

2. Mad Skillz
-Mad Skillz and the Supafriends were never HUGE in the hip hop industry. Why I don't know, because Mad Skillz name fits him perfectly. Just listen to his battle tracks.

1. Eminem
-He goes without saying being number one. If you disrespect eminem's skills in battles, then you just resent a white boy winning a battle, and you need to get over it. Not only does Em bury his opponents, he does it more then once. Eminem can ruin someones career with one verse. Even his new work, (which everyone is hating on for some reason), he hasn't missed a beat. He always has a unique way to put out a track, he always takes syncapation with the beat into consideration, and without question, he IS a musical genius.

shit i think you can't get doper than eyedea. brother ali is good too but eyedea is one of the only ones that can seriously not even be THINKING of what he's gonna say before-hand and still rip your fuckin mind with his punches and multies. brother ali is the only one to ever beat eyedea EVER. eminem is also good but a lot of his shit is prewrit.
