50 is big for many reasons other than his lyrical skills....these suburban kids suddenly think if they listen to 'in da club' then they themselves are straight from the hood...chicks love him, worship him, so with that he gets alot of female attention...he has got a couple big singles, he is also backed by eminem and dre...but he is definately not the best rapper

you cant really say whos best, because there is so many different sub genres of hip hop...but i would say eyedea, canibus, dead prez, dmx, mos def, twalib are some of my more favs....

Hmmm...Jesus, the best rapper right now, huh? Well, there ain't many left, to be honest. At least not on MTV. The real hip-hop, in my opinion, can be found in the 'underground' on smaller labels. As for my personal opinion, I tend to like most of the Rhymesayers crew, including Eyedea, Aesop Rock, the incredible Brother Ali and, of course, the god-like Atmosphere (the best rap group out today, PERIOD.) I also like more mainstream rap acts like Jurassic 5 and, yes, ICP and the whole Psychopathic crew as well (so sue me). But old school is really where it all started. All-time great lyricists like KRS-One (best rapper of all time), Slick Rick, Chuck D of Public Enemy and of course the Beastie Boys paved the way. It just really sucks that horribly overrated fake emcees like Ja Rule, Nelly, The Birdman, Master P and especially 50 Cent are ruining it for hip-hop today. Ah, well. I've ranted long enough.

ICP is decent from what I hear. Atmosphere is pretty sweet. Beastie Boys, amen. Dead Prez is sweet from what I heard. Also, Black-Eyed Peas. Can't forget those fellas. Eminem's nice. Ludacris, Outkast, Red and Meth are all decent too.

I can understand why LL didn't respond to Jacker II... Because he murdered Canibus the first time around. Their is no reason to answer back to Canibus 2nd attempt to redeem himself.

Don’t get me wrong, im not saying Canibus doesn't have skillz, but if you loose, then you loose. Cats gotta chalk it up as a loss and move on. But i believe Canibus and LL squashed the beef prior to the release of that track. The media hyped up the fact that they still had beef when they didn't.
