View Full Version : RYME BOOK
I have been rapping for about four years now and for the first three I was pure freestyle but then I started writing
One of the big helps in my writing is my ryme book I dont know if anyone else dose this but aside from my actual written lyrics i have a seperate ryme book for just words that ryme
so like this
real, deal, speal, meal, feel
rat, gat, bat, splat
my, try, fly, die, cry, why
and so on
that way when I get stuck on a word or verse that I need help i just look in my book
I know this takes a little longer but try it out it really helps

I have a book of punches... when I can't sleep or I'm bored I write punch after punch after punch... some I flip and use later, but most I just keep there for personal reference.

i was thinkin i was the only person who wrote 1 who did tha i feel special
Never had a rhyme book, but sometimes I use dictionaries to be sure that I use a correct word and in a right place. But I think, that I will make a "puch book" because it`s more useful

I'll sell you guys a rhyming dictionary for 20.00 paypal, as an Ebook. You pay 10.00 at kinkos and get it turned into a physical book (if you want, if you type your raps, and dont really use pen and pad anymore, then it's easy to use at the comp infront of you.)

if your just starting out, fuck buying a rhyme dictionary, just visit rhymezone.com
but once you get a certain level of proficiency with rhyming language you should be able to make your own rhymes, and just rhyme naturally - both internally and at the ends of bars - without really thinking much about how it works or what rhymes with what. The stressing of certain syllables creates the illusion of rhyme eventually. Just rap with conviction.
