IN THE MIRRORS REFLECTION
As I stare into this glassy slate
blank eyes peer back
which are possessed by a being who is deprived
Forced to face an eternal solitude
Physicaly, mentaly and spirtualy detached
The mirror reflects more than an image
It projects my true self
By glaring into its shilvery fillament
I gain access to my soul
This realization births rage
which expells tears to mask it
With a strange burst of energy fueled by anger
I thrust my fist in its direction
Thus causing a destructive chain reaction
As the cascade of shattered pieces fall
They twinkle like stars as they refract sunlight
peeking through the bathroom window
On large shard catches my attenttion
as its glare blankets my face
With it in my grasp I laugh at the irony
That the same objest that allowed me a glimpse of my pain
will also release me to serenity
