The Dogg Pound Vol 1 #3
Wow, the mag really creeps up on you. Felt like I had just put out the last one when I realized I needed to start on this week's edition. Time flies by quick. I always thought the mag couldn't be as much trouble as An and ToxN made it seem, but between school and my girlfriend this is REALLY a lot of work. Not to worry though, I'll continue doing the mag until there is simply just no possible way I can get it done. And with that note, we move on to the mag.

This week we learned of the wonderful trickery of Mr. FURIOSO. A couple of our members were treated to these masterpieces for continually bothering our furious friend about their sigs. I think Gopha will be the last one to get a Furi sig for a long time now, because he also had his request thread shut down.

Use Wordplay
Wordplay is well... a play on words. This means saying one thing and it's also meaning another. For instance "I'm a 'bug killer', spraying this pest-aside (pesticide)." The play is on the word 'pesticide.' Wordplay only works well when it meaning makes sense both ways. If you said "I'm gonna make you dye (die)" it doesn't work because saying 'I'm gonna make you dye' doesn't make sense, even though 'I'm gonna make you die' does. Wordplay helps win the Wordplay category, as well as the Creativity category as well, so it’s very helpful to use them.

This is one of the coolest fucking songs ever in my opinion. Tech doesn't get as much recognition as he should, because he raps as fast, if not faster, than bizzy bone or twista. And he's got goofy red hair! What more can you ask for?
Royce Da 5'9" "Fuck A Hook"
Royce is a masterful lyricist and this is a wonderful example of his prowess as an MC. He's also pretty underrated, because he's one of the best in the game today. Plus, he's not commercial garbage because he doesnt seem to care about publicity. Good for him.

I was very disappointed with you hoodlums this week. There was nobody with a significant amount of wins. A few very impressive battles this week though.
5. baby_uzi Uzi barely makes the power rankings by beating kunta twice. Sorry to rain on your parade Uzi, but the only reason you're on the Power Rankings is because everyone else was lazy. Oh well. Congrats anyway.
4. _RoAcH_ Roach made the rankings by beating JuJu this week. Something that I was most definitely not expecting. Many congratulations to Roach, that's quite a feat.

I was very disappointed with you hoodlums this week. There was nobody with a significant amount of wins. A few very impressive battles this week though.
5. baby_uzi Uzi barely makes the power rankings by beating kunta twice. Sorry to rain on your parade Uzi, but the only reason you're on the Power Rankings is because everyone else was lazy. Oh well. Congrats anyway.
4. _RoAcH_ Roach made the rankings by beating JuJu this week. Something that I was most definitely not expecting. Many congratulations to Roach, that's quite a feat.
3. Jingle Jingle is back on the power rankings thanks to his win over the Logikal One. By doing this he has given Logikal his second loss EVER. Many many kudos to the Jingly One. His verses still do, and have always had a creative twist that I love to read. Glad to see a battle from him again.

Anesthetic: When I was 9, in the Fourth grade. I heard some Jay-Z and Big L. Then listened to Rakim. I did small time shit, battled dudes for gum and candy and stuff. Never lost proud to say, until I was in high school. But the loss was good, made me better.
KMA: You must have had a lot of gum then, you rapping devil. How early did you start writing raps?
Anesthetic: I have been writing forever. Like since I was 8. I just didn't take it to battling until I saw other dudes do it. So as for writing, almost 8 years.
