All Grown
Started off in a house belonging to his folks,
being deceitful and always cracking jokes.
Going to school but not to learn,
always keeping his parents extremely concerned.
Living a life without a care in the world,
skipping class to smoke bud and talk to girls.
Asking for trouble like it was a favor,
to young to know that there was something much greater.
Always grounded was his daily routine,
only until he hit the age of eighteen.
Now he's on his own and in the service,
he thought to himself, do I deserve this?
It taught him a great deal, he thought it was a dream,
he swore it was surreal this can't be what it seems.
He naturally rebeled and caused more pain then it was worth,
always confined to one spot when his ship traveled the earth.
Finally they let him go, he was nothing but a violation,
he felt leaving the service would be his salvation.
He never learned his lessons, he kept making the same mistakes,
he was having fun same time creating headaches.
his brother took him in, gave him room and board,
because a life on his own was what he could not afford.
It helped him capture the best thing in his life,
the one he now lives with, the one he calls wife.
Now she has taken the role of giving him guidance,
he went from an F grade to a B minus.
But steadily improving and focusing on the bigger picture,
his wife and him made a perfect mixture.
He's done more than he ever dreamed when he bought a new home,
this is now his life and he is finally all grown.
