beware: some of these poems DO NOT RHYME
a mind visual.....
Patches of amaryllis surround cobblestone
walls decorated with hedera helix. Seven
willow trees checker the lightly fluffed
pasture. An ancient bench crafted in
balsa matures in the center of the
courtyard. Streams of airy beauty
elegantly cascades downward from the roof
of trees portraying luminous events.
Insects leisurely produce modest sounds
gravitating amongst the atmosphere. Comfort
and warmth embraces the garden's spirit
preparing a chosen location for poetry
creation.
heres another called 'Blaze'....
An amply charged energy dilutes all oxygen over a blistering hot desert sand,
while cacti peel back their needles attempting to conceal exposure with raybans.
Reptiles limited to slow movement continue to search for shady spots,
under a horizontal bed of smoldering lava rocks.
An infinite mirage of rippling water plays tricks on the naked eye,
giving false promise to constant doubt, prosthetic wetness to facts of dry.
Flashes of red exhibit stove burners full blown,
acclimating the climate, excelerating the heat zone.
Cracks in the soil resemble overcooked piecrusts,
of an amazing blazing gush from an occasional wind rush.
three's a charm....here's a lil one in anticipation for the de la hoya vs mosley fight tonight.......
The Ring
Two gladiators enter the ring, both
infatuated with the idea of destroying one
another. One of the combatant's eyebrows
snarl inviting eye contact from his enemy
while he moves side to side like a snake.
The other opponent bounces up and down
smacking his gloves together and looking
towards the sky. The ring captures the
focus of an enormous amount of spectators.
As it turns and twists its ropes, it starts
to come alive. The corners bulk up and
flex their power as the dominant limbs of
the ring. The canvas is the torso and the
support behind the rings structure. It
will take the majority of wear and tear
throughout the evening yet continue to
stand strong. It breathes fire on the
boxers making them drip in sweat. The bell
rings.
