Poetry-my version of its meaning
Poetry
It discriminates against no one
every culture expresses it originaly
From the haiku to the iambic pentameter of Shakespeare
It's all caused by an abundancy of motives
From expression to self-insuffciency and the list goes on
I do it as a way to retain my thoughts and to understand my surroundings
To be one dimensional is not in my resume
But who endulges in versetility these days anyway
Poetry is seen as a weakness towards masculinity in it's raw form in this age
It makes you wonder what the future holds for the true avid fans of this artform
It may evetually become second rate
But the poets who do it now should enlighten the youths emerging now on this realm of words
That's what I think of when I hear that word
