is this form of shrink'n stretched bars cheating ?

i'm starting to see this alot and i'm not like'n it bcuz it is a form of cheating in disguise and this should become popular here on rapdogs

ok not swaying votes or n e thing but your verse was pretty much right there and is the perfect but not so bad example ....

the rules 4 mine a Cool C's battle was 4 bars mine was a lil stretched but still in the 4 bar range as far as lines go...





but this new form is just flat out cheating

now thats a not a really big diffrence unlike sum(i.e. the reason i used Cool C as and Example) but a few of you are getting way outta hand with this stuff

the reason i'm starting this thread bcuz ppl who are do'n normal bars are loosing battles to this style of text and the cats are go'n to others bcuz they have made way more room to put that extra pizzaz in there verse..becuz its stretched

ya bars should not go from 1 end of the page to the other ....

now this is a mild example.. cuz Cool C verse wasn't as bad as others,tho it was very stretched

it depends, i know that i've had to shorten bars coz mine can get pretty lengthy. but when you got like 5 lines streched out n' shrunken then it's ridiculous. but other than that, if it doesn't go past three lines itain't really that bad.

Dude, I was JUST about to comment on that because i just read the battle verse. I think shrinking your barz in order to make them, essentially, twice as long so you can fit more "information" (or what have you) into them, is just flat out cheating.

As someone who typically text-battles with shorter bars, I think it's a grey area. Putting your font size smaller to throw twice or three times as many punches is kind of shady. Yeah, it give you more room to expand on multis and what-not, but it is kind of cheap.

I personally think that one should be able to throw solid, hard-hitting punches in shorter bars. Writing shorter bars allows textcees to transition to audio easier. Can't do the crazy long stretched bar thing in audio, unless you want twice as many bars.

IMO, I think that there should be a rule against shrinking your font to tiny sizes. Just my two cents.

Yeh I would say its a form of cheating. Not enough to get a DQ, but people should notice it and give him less credit for his verse, even though I wouldn't rate it v high.

You should make it as part of the house rules, that doing that should be a DQ. You can make your font smaller, but not make it so that it looks like the bar isn't stretched.

cuz rules state how long bars should be and if that means we need to ban this then i will put it up in the mod forum or if ya'll wanna ok it i will put it in the mod forum and see to it that its gets voted on ....

Also to Cool C .. i used yours as an example cuz they were'nt as stretched as sum i've seen latley..but u did it in that form so i used it to make my point... so i'm not call'n foul i our battle ....

Im not well known here, but some have seem my lyrics... i love small bars and about 95% of the time win on flow....

however, not to be a bad looser but i feel sometimes that i've been left shorthanded because the opponent has fitted so much more information then me...

Small bars are easier to 'feel' when your reading them i think, apposed to hearing...

People are gonna stretch their bars cause it's text, that's just a fact.

But changing font size is a gimmick, you're right.

It sucks but maybe we need a rule change. It's kinda sad that people are doing that, though.

I feel ya'll. I've started 'down-sizing' mine, and making the font smaller. Not cause i'm trying to fit more, but case I think it looks cooler. Sometimes a few words flow to the next line tho and I don't like that, so I down-size the font.
