Anti-Writers Block

It often happens to me that i get writers BLock right when i gotta write up a battle verse... In the past years I lost some battles cuz i really couldnt come up with good shit, i'v resolved that problem now...

What I do is:

When I write battle verses I usually dont use all the concepts that come to my mind, It happens that i come up with alotta ideas that i cant or dont wanna squeeze in together... Those concepts I dont use I copy and paste them on a new file in Microsoft, and then delete them from the file where the battle verse im actually gonna use is... I do this after every verse I spit...

When i get a writers block (not often) I dont have to wry bout coming up with sick concepts or bursting my mind to find something to write, i just open that file and use what i didnt use before... Of course ur verse isnt gonna have any personals, thats not that great but at least you came up with a verse and didnt have to No-show or surely lose the battle... Oh yea remember to open another file and put those concepts ya used in there...

This also prevents recycling, i had tons of files with battles, ideas and concepts and often risked to recycle some shit... this organized method now helps me avoid using the same shit twice...

Even if ya aint got a writers block it helps, maybe u aint got enuff time, u came up with 3 bars but need 4-5 to drop... just go that file and fish out some concepts, put em together bieng creative and ya got ur bar..

Dont know if this can help anyone, ya'll do what you thinks best... For me it works, try it, it aint gonna hurt you...

Those are good tips...I've been hittin' the text battles lately, I do somethin' similar...I write down all my ideas for wordplay when I key up a verse, and cross off what I use, and save the rest of the wordplay for a later time...Same with concepts. I don't actually write out my bars until I key my verse, I just jot down associations, i.e. Car-Insurance-Wheels-etc...

yeah this is a great method. i wish i knew this about 10 months ago when i had writers block for like 4 months, it was either writiers block or i just couldnt write cuzz i smoked like 15-20 blunts in a day all day every day, but when i got outta rehab i didnt have it no more.....hhmm come to think of it i think i just smoked too much weed ,nevermind, but still a good method man(method man is tight) keep it real

I just try to read a lot of books.I got a slang word of the day and also a dictionary word for each day coming into my email.I also study the dictionary.I know my mic wrecking skills is good but theres alwayz room for improvement.So this is my theory,feel me!Try to read shyt that interested to you.Im going to try some of yall method to.

i feel u on this! ive had writers block for a long time .. everytime i sat down, writing, everything i came up with, in my mind, sounded like shit! .. Im over that now, but still thx for the tips!
