for anybody on da site who wanna be a good audio head, but dont have da right quality equipment, trust me u can still delivery jus as good as da cats wit profesional shit
tip #1 - if you have a dynamic mic, which isnt used for recording, u need a condeser mic, but if you dont have da money to go out and buy one, put a sock over da mic, it works da same, not as good, but as close as you'll get, and even when recording hold da mic under a sweatshirt your wearing, and put ya hood up, it'll insalate, and work jus like a vocal booth
tip #2 - spend time in da text threads, reading other emcees work, and maybe even writing your own will elevate you as an emcee, i speak from experiance, even listening to Veteran rappers tracks and freestyles will help
ex. Hi-tek, Krs-one, Mos Def, Talib Kweli, Jadakiss, Cassidy, Eminem, Common, Wu Tang Clan, Jay-Z, Nas, Immortal Techniques
tip #3 - vibe, watch or listen others rap, when u see someone deliver a punch or a meta dat is sick as fuck, it makes you wanna do da same, and make somethin iller den wat you saw, i do dis all da time when im tryn to record, but make sure not to leave da tv on when recording, cuz da fequency, will fuck up ya vocals
tip #4 - enviroment, make sure your in an enviroment dat blends wit you, somewhere, where your gonna be comfirtable, and it'll make it easier for you to delivery, i find dat when i sit down in mah basement, turn some black lights on, and spark up a square, i come up wit lyrics alot easier, and can vocaly perform better
tip #5 - practice, whenever you have free time, jus chill listen to artist dat are known for their lyrical abilities, and write, it doesnt have to be a song, you could jus take your notebook, and write a plain 16 bar piece, read over it, memorize it, den throw it away, it'll help u to memorize lyrics, and it'll burn it to ya brain, and help you at freestylin, which is a good trait to have when recording
