Goodday, all you god-damn rap fans. It's your anti-friendly
neighbourhood Metalhead.
I thought I'd drop you a line to tell you how much you all SUCK, and
how much your "Music" sucks. What you listen to isn't even MUSIC,
it's nonsense lyrics over a "phat" beat. The lyrics in any rap song
makes no god-damn sense to me, and is a bunch of useless garbage.
Rap makes no talent to create. All one has to do is rhyme, and BAM.
They have a song. I'd rather listen to country music, and that's
saying something. At least it's music.
Lets compare lyrics, shale we?
''H to the izzo, V to the izza"... What does that mean? Huh? Answer
me that? I'd credit the author, but I have no idea who it is, and
probably no one gives a shit about them anyway.
"I Can't Remember Anything
Can't Tell If this Is True or Dream
Deep down Inside I Feel to Scream
this Terrible Silence Stops Me
Now That the War Is Through with Me
I'm Waking up I Can Not See
That There Is Not Much Left of Me
Nothing Is Real but Pain Now
Hold My Breath as I Wish for Death
Oh Please God,wake Me".
This is about a man, wounded in war, who was brutally injured, and
all he wishes for is just to end it all. Now, of course, you all
wouldn't understand this, eh? It describes war perfectly, how
chaotic, how evil it is. Btw, this was created by Metallica, the song
is called One, incase you want to check out some GOOD music.
Now, I admit, music is covered with stereotypes. The thing about rap,
though, is it's almost ALL the same, unlike rock, where you find a
MUCH larger varitety. You have Alternative, with bands like Foo
Fighters, you have Metal, al la metallica, Punk (which sucks), Hair
Metal, and a personal favorite of mine, Melo-Death. Which has
meaning,with heavy gituar riffs.
Rock is also covered with steriotypes. Posers that want to fit into
the whole rock scene listen to KoRn... which sucks.
Now, argue all you want, I think I've made my point clear. Have a
good day.

Btw.. (Which is short for by the way), I've been boredly looking through the message boards and.. wait, you BUY your own beats? WTF (What the f***). This proves even more that Rock is way better than rap.. you can't even make your own music, god damn! That is sad, really. I feel sorry for you all, thinking your music acually means something.
Well, it is good for something. It's good for me too poop on. And target practice. But that's about it.
You see, Rockers acually MAKE their own music. You guys hire people to make some "phat" beats, and put your own lyrics over it. That takes no skill, only money. If I had that kind of money, I'd be "pimping" out rap songs left and right.

I'm going to leave your posts up. FYI, I've played the Grand Ol Opry on nationwide TV, play for a three time Grammy winner (most recent grammy was last year) and produce metal bands.
I also produce hip hop and love it. It's one of the last frontiers of free speech.
All just opinions. I guess the thing I would point out is you should focus on what you are FOR.....not what you're against or ignorant about.
Enjoy your world.

Ok, I'll bite and continue posting.
When I was 21 I was doing a solo piano gig and I had a customer ask me to play some country music. I looked at them and said, "I'm sorry, I play MUSIC". I was totally serious at the time. I did not even consider country or western as being music. Several years later I'm playing with established country music artists and totally loving it. Over the years I discovered the nuance of the style and yes, I STUDIED country music and grew to appreciate it.
There was a time I didn't dig rap at all. Over the years I STUDIED it and am now very active in hip hop production. I love it.
Maybe to say that we don't like what we don't know is a bit simplistic, but I have found that if you listen to a style you're not familiar with it seems very straight ahead and in a box at first. After a while when you really get into it you start noticing the different nuances of the style.
In the studio a lot of times I get artists from one style wanting to jump into another because it seems so easy to them. For instance, a rock singer will start writing country songs.....or a rock singer might start rapping. They ALWAYS suck in my experience, they don't understand the style well enough yet to do it. Country is the worst, people from all sorts of styles jump into country and record really lame material because they think that's what country is.
To recap my rambling: If you understand something, you're more likely to appreciate it. This has far reaching implications beyond music.....

ok uh H to the izz-O V to the izz-A is spelling out the word HOVA which is a nickname for Jay-Z. all he was doing was spelling his name you dumb fuck. he wasn't trying to make you think or have meaning. yea and not all rap is like that. lots of underground rappers do have meaning in their songs. yea and i could just post something from tupac and compare it to some shit from simple plan and you'd see the difference in that too. there's shitty bands or rappers in every category so fo real shut the fuck up.

I admit I am just rap and that's it.........I don't have any influences in any other genre of music nor do I want......well there is only one other kind of music that I listen to besides Hip-Hop and that's classical........I have given other music a try but none of it is to my liking
and that 'H to the izzo V to the Izza' line........yes that is bullshit.....and the reason why you don't like rap is because you fail to open your mind........listen to artists such as Slug(Atmosphere is the group in which you'll find him in)....Brother Ali.....Aesope Rock.....Common(who won a Grammy for his album 'Like Water For Chocolate')........Talib Kweli......The Roots(who play there own instruments)......Pharoahe Monch........try one of those artists out.....all of them are intelligent and enlightened artists who have something to say
