Anybody have a ps2? Have yall ever opened it? My dam ps2 door won't open. When I opened the ps2 completly there's a silver tape that connects with tha top part of the ps2 (the roof basically that's connected with tha Open button and the Reset button). I don't know if this is possible to explain over internet, but can somebody guide me or somthing to tell me where I can possibly connect tha tape? Cuz im pretty sure that'll solve my problem with opening the door. Cuz i've moved the tape in certain places and the door opened several times. But I don't know a specific spot to attach it. People who are experts or have at least opened the ps2 completly prolly know what im 'roughly' talking about. NEED HELP IF POSSIBLE..

I don't know much about that... but here's a question that a person who might be able to help you would probably need to know..>

Is it an older PS2.. the thick kind?
Or is it a newer model PS2.. the thin/sleek version?

NO!!

The Cable Is Called An IDE CABLE
It Is Used To Transfer Data - Just Move It Out Of The Way Of The Door And Make Sure It Opens - BUT DO NOT FUCK AROUND WITH IT!!!

(It's tha thick, older one)

And yo every time i fiddle with it tha door opens SOMETIMES... I needa know wtf I gotta do to open that dam door! I know it's something with that little silver tape. My ps2 lights are off as well, and it goes on and off when i fiddle with tha tape

Sounds Like The Cable Has Come Undone Or Loose...

Simply Follow It Back And Re-Plug It In...

If it's not loose and securely plugged in... perhaps it's a short in the wire... sooo.. in which case.. find a position that the lights stay on and the tray opens, then tape it down in that position.. if it manages to go loose again, just repeat the process, find a new position, and re-tape it...
