I need help from a pro with this one. When I try open a file that requires the application extension MSVCP71.dll it says the file is not there or there has being an error with the file(such as, it is not a valid windows image). I looked in the system 32 folder where this file is supposed to be located and it was not there. I went to my mums computer made a copy of the file and saved on to a flash drive, I then pasted it into my computers files where the file should be and yet it is still giving me the same error. What should I do to fix this problem. To me it seems I contracted a virus that deleted that file. At first I thought the problem was because I ha recently downloaded service pack 2, so I deleted the service pack hoping to revert the error(this did not work). I know cannot obtain a version of this server pack again because MSVCP71 is the file needed to boost the windows updater. I have been able to acquire a manual install of the service pack and will try installing that today, but I don't think it will solve the problem. Unless one of you guys can help me out then it looks like an complete reformat is in order.

Sounds Like A DLL Swagger Jacker.

Only One Fix Really...

Re Format...

So another question, what is a DLL swagger jacker? Where do you contract them? Is this a worm hole, spyware or virus or just an other?

I had thought that it was most probable that a reformat was in order.

Thanks

Swagger Jacker Is A Hijacker. It Is A Nasty Worm That Uses Dynamic Link Libraries, DLL's, To Continue Spreading. It Is Very Efficient, Because In Most Cases, Removal Of The Specific DLL Is The Cure And The Actual Information In The DLL Is Specific, The File Is Just An Archive For Information, No Two DLL's Will Have The Same Data...

Where You Got It?

Emails, Cracks For Games, Doobious Files, Active X Controls... Anywhere Really

Program Cracks? Ok, Can this only transport through my DLL files? (Is it safe to create back ups)
