before you even step into a Scientology church you need this stress test thing=---then somehow they measure your levels of spirituality---then if you come between certain levels, you are accepted---if your too "stressed" or not "spiritual" 9according to their methods) you cannot be a scientologist----

I went and read about Scientology, and i'll sum up what I got from it.

Basically, the aim is to reach happiness, personal wealth, and a higher state of being through the study of Scientology. There are three parts of man: Mind, body, and thetan (Thetan is a greek word for "thought" or "spirit"). The Mind is the source of communication with one's self and the universe. The Body is not the person. The Thetan is one's spirit. There are 8 dynamics of existance: Infinity, Spiritual, Physical Universe, Life Forms, Mankind, Group Survival, Family, and Self. There are two scales to help a person raise their level of awareness. The ARC Triangle, and the Tone Scale. The ARC Triangle is an interdependant triangle of affinity, reality, and communication, which adds up to understanding. The Tone Scale is a tool to understanding one's state of being, and how to communicate with them. Scientology states that the use of drugs suppresses one's ability to succeed. Therefore, one must undergo a process of purification because the drug's chemicals are absorbed into lipids and remain there for years otherwise. To sum it all up, Scientology's aim is to reach higher states of being.

The actual creation of this world was a miracle not explained by natural phenomenon. Even for those that believe in evolution, they cannot take into account how life and matter got started. The Creation of the world is the greatest miracle. God created all things - matter, life, and our own souls.

When most people think of the universe around them they think of only natural phenomenon. We see the stars and we touch the Earth, but we do not sense with our five senses who created the universe. When God created the universe it was not a natural event, but a supernatural act of creation. The creation cannot be explained through natural phenomenon, but only through the supernatural act of our Creator.

God created life and our own soul. Creation was and is a supernatural act. Creation is not a natural act that you can account with with your five senses. The Bible best explains the supernatural act of creation and how life was formed and how our own soul was created. Genesis 2:7 says, "And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul". Life and our own soul were not created by natural phenomenon. Matter did not create matter. Dust did not create dust. The creation of life was a supernatural act that is only adequately explained in the Bible. God breath is the source of all life. Without God's breath of life we are but "dust of the ground".

no but a soul isn't a being, its a metaphor for your individuality, people thousands of years ago couldn't take it into account that everyone was different, and thought different.. cause they were idiots, there minds werent evolved enough. they saw animals.. they couldnt talk, or build or do anything that humans could, so they thought they were there for a purpose, that a "God" had put them there... a soul is merly something that describes us, allows the people who accualy belive in it to tell you your different from, animals and other humans.. and why i said ketamine is because studys were done, about "heaven" and "hell" near death experiences.. what people were saying was they would go down a tunnel with a light at the end and go to a beautiful place, or see horrible things or they would see themselves over there body.. this happened with everyone, in a death or hostege situation.. this is what happens with ketamine or LSD, but in this case the mind sets off its own chemicals.. like those drugs, and it relaxes the brain and brings you somewhere eles, where you wont be subjectable to the pain or overwhelming emotion...people thought this was there soul excaping... you see LSD and ketamine go to a certain part of the brain and release the chemicals... in that same part of the brain is where near death experiences take place... and i agree religion sets hopes, but not once has a miricle taken place... medical miricles, but not like jesus or moses.. there overexadurated people... Hope is something everyone needs, but religion is for insicure people... you dont need religion for hope... this hope comes from you, its created by you, you can have hope without religion...
