But I Don't Like Him.

He's A Right Bitch. He Won't Let You Die Because He Has A Plan For You But He Never Shows You What That Plan Is.

See, I Kind Of Prefer Satan. I Mean, I'm Not A Devil Worshipper Or Anything, It's Just That He Shows You What's Gonna Happen And How It's Gonna Happen. He Plants Cool Images In Our Heads, And He Put The Fun Part In Everything We Enjoy.

Do You Think God Invented R Rated Movies Like Saw? Or Toolbox Murders? No. Satan Did. I Mean, He Is Also Probably Responsible For All The Wars, But Then Again, Is He? If God Is Truly As Almighty As They Say He Is, How Come Wars Are Still Happening? See, I Think God Is A Slacker. Half-Assed. Lazy Boy. He Figures Since He Created The Universe And Life As We Know It (which I don't believe he did) He Can Just Sit Back And Relax Now. In Which He Is Wrong.

So, I'm Putting This Up For Debate Here. I'd Like You All To Think Real, Real Hard About This. Who Is Better? The Guy Who Lets Wars And Natural Disasters And Everything That's Wrong In The World Keep Going On? Or The Guy Who's Responsible For Bringing Us Most Of Our "guilty" Little Pleasures?

You know I was gonna write this big ass thing on how God does these things for a reason, but due to many and I do mean many doubts I have about god and Jesus I'll leave that to someone who has more faith. As far as the devil goes he can suck a big juicy demon penis. He doesn't give us any thing, but temptation he plants the images it's like god is the principle and Satan is a teacher only showing us what god wants. He's testing us. I think I don't know.

Desire leads to suffering, and without desire, there is no suffering. Therefore, Satan is no more responsible for bringing us most of our 'guilty little pleasures' than our teachers are for turning our assignments in. In this sense, Satan's power is dependent, while God's power is independent.

Although, to answer who is "better", I would have to go with neither. What base do we have to understand "God" without the counterbalance of "Satan"?

Let me ask you what is better, the paper or the pencil? Both elements are essential to the final product, and require another being to even make a difference.

Also keep in mind that these concepts of higher powers are simply the faces of metaphysics. Humans have personified nature in an attempt to understand existance. Einstein once stated that "the serious scientific workers are the only profoundly religious people". In other words, science is defining what we have personified for so long, and will reach a parallel truth.

Very Thought-Provoking Reply, MANE. Almost Makes Me Want To Rethink All The Idealist Opinions On Satanism That I Have....Almost, But Not Really. I Don't Know, Really. I Guess When I Asked Who Was Better, I Wasn't Really Thinking In Terms Of Higher Power. Then Again, Maybe I Was. I Believe That Satan Is Better. They Are, As You Say, Counterbalanced. And Really, If I Think About It Enough, You Can't Have God Without Satan, Good Without Evil, Joy Without Pain. So, I Agree With You On Your Point. You Have Made Me Realize Two Things Though: That You Can't Have One Without The Other; And That, When Not Having One Without The Other, Satan Is The Cause Of All Significance Of God.

I personally don't believe in either.. not because i have little faith, but because i refuse to believe that someone other than myself(or the people involved) are response for my/they actions


People say... "god hates me" or "thats god doing" or anything like that.. or "Thats the devils work" etc.... altho i know these are just sayings.. alot of people believe that the evil in the work is the Devils fault or the God being lazy or not loving someone or whatever.. i think its a just an easy way out of taking responsibility for their actions or simply don't wanna believe people are that killing and raping and doing things that are pure evil are in control of their lives.. but that someone else is the cause

And altho "God" promotes freewill and you could argue all day about weather he is right or wrong about letting people die in such horrifying ways, in the end its not God nor the Devil doing these things, the only person in control of their actions is themselves

Also, to believe in something which can't not be proven, yes takes a lot of faith and commitment.. but i also think it takes an idiot to believe a lot of things said about both God and the Devil... the whole bible in IMO is a great story, but i think it is just a story, they are too many holes and un-believe things.. and contredictions thru out the whole of it.. and anyone who believes it all, is not only stupid but i think looking for someone to blame for the bad things that happen and not only the bad things, but also the good things....

I don't like or believe any religion for a number of reasons... but the main reason i don't like them is because you find a lot of people try to shove it down ya throat and say this is what happened and this is whats gonna happen if you don't believe and try to force it on you...

I mean i have nothing against it.. thats your choice to believe in something like that.. but i wish the same people would accept other don't and thats they choice

I think faith is when you have every last reason to "believe" in evolution (call it what you like,) and you don't throw out the entire bible, because you realize that genesis is a metaphor and god put evolution into motion- despite the fact that evolution doesn't *require* a god at all.

the old testament is full of holes as in incomplete stories and lacking details on key areas relevant to modern science
