create a photobucket account.. upload dat pic onto photobucket.. den resize it to an avatars..
after u upload it to your album.. above the picture it'll say edit.. click dat.. den it'll go to another page and above the pic again it'll say resize.. click dat den choose avatar.. and you can use it den
if u get confused.. jus let me know and ill do it for you.. and give you the link to the resized image.. but jus PM me if u want mah help
