WOW... Haven't heard the names of a few of these in a while.

These are actually a great mention, and alot can be said for Deep Puddle Dynamics and Quannum Projects.

I'm pretty sure Deep Puddle Dynamics wasn't ever supposed to be an actual group. I haven't heard that name in a while, due to the fact all the artists went their seperate ways. Sole is solo, Dose One is with themselves, Slug is with atmosphere, and I'm pretty sure there was another member. They haven't been around since like, 01 I think.

Quannum Projects is an entire organization. I'm pretty sure they are their own active label, and the solo artists do large compilations often (or used to). They have been around for a LONG time now. Blackalicious is on Quannum Projects.

Some other groups that deserve a check are:

Jurrasic 5

Black Moth Super Rainbow wierd people. Good music though.

A.O.I. (Art Official Intelligence)
Sage Francis's original live band. Trumpets, an upright base, cool hip hop.

...thanks Danny.

I already knew of J5.Not a huge fan,but if somebody spins it im not gonna bitch either.I love how they can juggle a verse between themselves.Cats dont do that shit anymore. As for AOI...the first thing that popped in my head was that De La Soul album with the same name.Gonna try to hunt down some of that this weekend.IDK about that BMSR yet.Vocoder is annoying as all hell but the actual music is strangely interesting.

...good looking out money.Anybody else?

Yeah man, usually I have something from the underground to put somebody up on... You stumped me man. J5 was a QB Sneak that led to a turnover.

Do peep A.O.I... again, Sage Francis is solo now with his own label, but to listen to how he originally started things is incredible.

Dynospectrum has dropped some hot tracks.. To mention a couple, Anything is Everything and Breath of Fresh Air.. I'm pretty sure they had the only group album released by Rhymesayers, even to this day. Came out early in '99 (could be earlier, sometime around then though..)
