This is an age old question...

Is God truely this almighty, immaculate, omnipotent entity that controls all that we see, hear, smell, taste, feel, and do?

or....

Does God rest in the psyche of man?

Whatever the theory proposed, whatever the speculations...just ask yourself one single question...

WHAT THE HECK STARTED THIS ALL?!!!!???!

I used to debate for hours, but that question just sums it up.I mean you spark gasoline to create fire, you pedal a bike to move...so what sparked the universe?

I ponder this all too much it seems; my dad told me not to over-think reality. Although, it is quite a beautiful process...circles or spirals skyward, I mean. After a long and focused thought sequence relating to reality, I always come to the realization that I just am. I move my fingers, and visualize each of the biological functions that cause my finger to move; eventually, I am left wondering what causes the cause. What drives the cogs?
One solution is to describe this driving force as the result of a toroidal shaped universe that constantly consumes and radiates information, creating a self-perpetually driven system (Refer to Nassim Haramein). The universe is conscious, so in the process of consuming, the information grows, much like how we learn and develop a thought, and is radiated back into consumption. God is the underlying essence of this system; the system is one, seamless and self-perpetual influx and radiation of information.
God is not separate, or greater, as a system of hierarchy would suggest. Rather, we are a reflection of the essence of God, which permeates all that exists. God is the system.
Prayer and meditation are the acts of becoming consciously in tune with this influx and radiation of information, however perceived.
At this point, I continue to wonder what is the cause of this system. If God is the system, then what caused God? In many ways it is an oxymoron when one refers to classical descriptions of God; for instance, the trait of omnipotence.
So, was God a concept created to assist us in realizing the underlying functions of the system we exist within, or literally are?!

And so, we are left at the point we began; what is the underlying cause of existence?

"And if you gaze for long into an abyss, the abyss gazes also into you. " -Nietzsche

I find solace in the artistic appreciation and approach to life.
The point is not to know for the sake of knowing, but to know for the sake of refining or tuning one's way of life, as the Tao implies. From what we may deduce, we apply so as to understand harmony.

lol dude... thats like some mad shroom rambling

but to the thread... personally lol if youve read what ive said before... we created god... like mane said in another thread shit happens every once in a while... DNA changes, climate changes shit like that... something coulda happened fuckin 10000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000 00000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000 00000000000000000000000000's of years ago and created rock or some shit and it just expanded... and started the universe..???

What originally created that rock,Primos?

And I thank Mane for the dissertation,he made me think and view everything from a better perspective...

So I guess the answer to the question lies in your own level of hypocrisy...if you believe we created God,then back it up like Mane did or in sum other logical way...

I hate you MANE...I was hoping more people would post before someone actually spoke on my reason for starting this thread...I was hoping at least two pages of back and forth dialogue...

I raised this question for serious answers, yet it has a sarcastic intent...

This can never be answered...When you try and debate you prove the opposite point of veiw just as much as you do your original intent...You do this by raising infinite amounts of questions...To say God exists because something had to creat the Universe brings forth more questions...Just as MANE stated...What created God?

You seek reason for the Universe because you believe everything is product of cause and effect yet you accept the fact that God has always been...If you do this for one constant than you completely contridict your reasoning for the existence of God...

So back to what created God...Thus posing the question for "Did we Create God?"...Is God simply a theory for human existence...MANE touched on it the best way possible...

The bottom line is you can never prove this point and in doing so will waste your time...

Existence exists for existence case...

What originally created that rock,Primos?

Lol, How the fuck am I supposed to know, coulda been anything... find the compounds of rock...
they coulda bonded together in the universe and created it... theres a logical answer for everything,
even if we cant figure it out at this point in time...

Divine Write: The thing about this debate is that everyone will be one-sided and biased when speaking. The whole debate will just go back and forth because you can't prove either points, noone has conclusive evidence.

Primos: That is why my arguement is with the original existance of God.

^^^That still doesn't prove anything...The Bible was written by the hand of man...If we were to not exist, would the Bible?

Plus come on, really...The Bible was written by the same people who thought the world was flat and the sun revolved around us...
