I am pretty sure YEARS ago when I was still in New Jersey I bought a mixtape (which was an actual cassette) with this guy on it. I thought he was OK. He will tell you he has created a lot of hype in Philly which (to take his word for it) might be the reason I have heard of him.
Either way, he has drummed up beef with Cassidy (who I hate) who almost seems to be afraid of Gillie. Gillie recently released a Millie remix of his own, which I cannot hate on. You can check this out here:

Maybe it's just because I love this beat. (Although the beat couldn't make Lil Mama good, so it's all up in the air).
Gillie claims to be the "King of Philly", which that title I personally believed belonged to Bill Cosby
I will post no more links about the situation because I - in no way - support the behavior that you will witness in the videos. However, the way Cassidy reacts to Gillie's name in some interviews will justify things Gillie talks about... Also, the Gillie and Wayne situation can be justified in some interviews...
It is incredibly interesting to watch. This local cat from Philly is known by commercial hip hop artists, and is possibly feared. Entertainment at it's finest.
