i rap professionally in sydney, parramatta. and because of my surroundings i have to deal with FUCKING LAME, MAINSTREAM, FAKE fuckwits that thinkin rap is using an american accent.
i WILL shout out names:
ello c, natz blazin, krayzie wun, MC tuppz ect.
now if you know ur sydney based MC's, then these guys are pretty active in the scene. props for that, though yes. some DO have DECENT skills when there not trying to create americanised tunes with american rythms and american slang. they are decent otherwise
but i just cant fucking stand this shit no longer. that 99% of aussie rappers consist on using american accents.... why!? and then claim to be underground.... i showed some cats my latest song called 'whats real'... a song that REAL, that walks along the lines of whats REAL. that shows situations that some will face, and some have faced and some that can relate to. i rap in 4 voices for each verse, yes with an aussie accent depicting a story of a man who abused an addiction, lost his family, lost his job, and aventually his life. now when some big cats in this area got there ears on it one thing was said:
' bro, thats song is fuckin sick.... but a lil to skiphop for me' 'you should have changed the way you say your words and put some american accents on it'
wtf is that? now, i dont go all out to make myself sound like a country bumkin recordin a song befor he goes out hunting rabbits at all. though i do use my natural accent, that is real
to all that live in australia... talk with an aussie accent. and rap with an american one?....: .......... FUCK YOU, YOU FAKE HOMO MAINSTREAM WANNA BE FAGGOTS! i hope you go to hell getting continuosly violated by satan himself with a soldoring iron.
and if i offend some one that reads this? i will be more than happy to debate why faking an accent is completely and utterly wrong if u claim to be underground
