Has anyone been able to make a desent beat using something like fruity loops. I just started making beats but everything comes out techno, so if anybody got any tips put em' up. Thanks

Yo u may want to either first record your beats and then throw them into fruty loops cus most of the tracks that you can make on that program arent really any good. I would use Fruity loops to either edit my tracks or add something that u may find useful. I have found that fruity loops requires a lot of beat files in order for you to get what your looking for. Keep downloading beats and puting them into the program, that might work as well
Hey dudes... Why not using Drumstation 1.08 from d-lusion (site closed)? Or N-Track Studio 3.1... Really cool one. I use it.

To get fruity loops just go to download.com and type it in under download. you'll only be able to get a demo but it'll let u export just not save.

The reason that FruityLoops tracks come out like techno is because thats basically what it was made for... the company didn't sit down and say.. "lets make a program for sick producers to create beats for hot ass rappers"... they just wanted for people to be able to create a techno deal for like 50 bucks...
I once used it and i downloaded lots of my own samples that were more common in rap (especially new drums cuz fruity's drums suck) and lots of strings.
my utmost advice is to save up 2000 bucks an d go by a Triton or a Fantom.. once u do that the possibilities are endless...

yo all i got to say that fruity loops is the best thing they ever came up with...it seems stupid when u first start to use it but as soon as u start to collect instrumental samples (buy them) and learn how to use the tempo the rest of its all done ....i make all of my beats with fruity loops and nobody beleives me...they say u bought them from Dre...u got everything in there

oh and i also forgot to say that ...YOU MUST USE VST PLUGINS (flanger. filter. delay. phaser) thats what makes the music taste sweet...if u want to peep on of my beats ill send youse a sample...just email me

If you want to make some good hip-hop instramentals the best thing you can do is not use "froot loops" to try and creat them. I use acid 4.0 to make my beats and sound forge 6.0 to edit my audio media. If you try hard enough you can get thease programs free via the internet. Ps. programs like fruity loops and hip-hop e-jay are good beginer programs,but the final products can't be sold as yours because the samples in the program are not royalty free.that is why I use acid. pro tools is even a better program to use but watch out because it does not work with windows xp.
